Events Committee

The ABC Events Committee will help to guide and implement all ABC sponsored events and meetings under the direction of the Events Manager.  The committee will help to engage the association members in all sponsored events and assist the Events Manager with implementation of said events. The committee will assist in setting event goals and objectives and obtaining the desired outcomes.  The members may decide which element of the event they would like to participate in such as logistics, hospitality, entertainment, and any other part of the event.  This is a fun and interactive committee that will put the members in the middle of the planning and implementation of ABCs events. Membership Committee

This committee is responsible for membership development including recruitment, retention, and involvement. Leads the effort to build a strong and active membership that strengthens the industry and delivers value added service to all members.  Email Tanya Burtis for more information.

Safety Committee

This committee selects speakers, current safety topics, and best practices to keep ABC Members up to date on the latest information regarding construction safety. Provides the opportunity for members to learn from their peers on matters related to construction safety through monthly meetings, training, job safety walks, and award programs.  Email Tanya Burtis for more information.

Government Affairs Committee

This committee provides guidance on legislative and regulatory matters, recommends positions and potential actions on issues, interviews political candidates, and recommends endorsements.   Email Mac Bybee for more information.

Workforce Development Advisory Committee

This advisory board provides input and guidance on the courses and programs developed through the ABC Leadership Institute.  The Workforce Development Advisory Board plays a pivotal role in establishing ABC as the leading presence in Nevada when it comes to professional development opportunities that are offered to construction professionals.  This advisory board selects topics, speakers, and secures sponsorships in alignment with The Leadership Institute’s focus to build the leaders of tomorrow.  Email Stacey Hine to get involved.
